New male Afican Butterfly fish

I finally found a male African Butterfly fish:)

I added him to the tank and the female immediatly started showing him who was boss, I was hoping that they would get along but now they are on...

I ended up buying a Blood parrot:) :o

I was at the Lfs getting rid of my Jewels (jewels and convicts dont mix) and one little BP caught my eye, it has long fins and it's a light pink color...

They should be fine Otos are a peaceful fish and tetras and corys usually ignore them.:)

Be careful though otos are very sensitive and will sometimes die unexpectedly, the longest I've kept mine...

The platys and Swordtails can breed, but they cant cross with mollies.

For some reason I could never get a female to release living fry in a breeder trap, they were always undeveloped and deformed,...

Thats true but poodles and cocker spanials hardly ever escape and maul people.

I'm not saying all pit's are mean, but when most people think of pit's, they think of the breeds fighting capability.

I have a ton of duckweed in my tanks (it falls off when I use the net) and I've also heard that they help with lowering Nitrates, Java moss does to.

If you have plants that need alot of light...

I think they prefer pots upside down, they don't like there eggs visible.

when my kribs spawned it was in a bell ordament that had an opening on both the sides.

I've also had some little kribs...

Congrats on getting the male krib:)

The female doing the u shape infront of the male is a good sign that they are getting along.

A 3 in flower pot should be fine as long as both male and female...

If he is a Quad crowntail it will be very hard to find a female with that same trait, breeders rarely sell the rare females (Halfmoons, double tails, and super deltas) your best bet would be to order...

Monster Fish

I dont get why people want to buy and lfs's want to sell Monster fish.

I hate going to my LFS seeing little kids walk out with bags full of Iridescent sharks, and common plecos.

I did the same thing when I got my first kribs, I expected them to get along together since they were opposite sex. What you described was exactly what I experienced.

My male krib only paired off...

The krib is male (look at the pointed dorsal fin and the slender body shape):)

I've never heard of gold kribs before, I'll google it and see what comes up.
