Default Crabby Betta

My female betta seems to always protect the 10 gallon tank like there are no other fish in it. When she spots my cories she continously harrases them at random moments and especially during feeding time, eventhough i put out flakes for her (she eats them). I'm not sure if i should put my cories in the 20 gallon because it is a high 20 gallon so it will be difficult for them to get air I believe, or my betta. I'm not sure about the betta because she might not get along with the danio's. So what should i do? Keep the betta in the 10 gallon by herself or put her in the 20 gallon?

Hi Pwat...I'd put the Cories in the 20gal. They'll be fine, there. I'd remove the female Betta, rearrange the tank, add a lot of plant cover, and hiding places, and add five more females at the same time as your current female....that's assuming you would like more in the 10 gal...

Actually Sharon I just now thought if i took my betta and put her into the 20 gallon and get another betta, this time a male. I saw at my LFS a beautiful black one. I don't think those are very common, but i fell in love with him, however i had no where to put him so i couldn't buy him. I don't really want to get more female betta's though. The personality of the female betta i own won't work well, even if i put more at the same time.

I could even get more cories so they would school more often.
