Default pleco

are pleco fish dirty I got one saturday and he pooped all over my rock aleast I think its poop it looks like worms..thank you cindyp

actually, plecos may not be the most beautiful fish but they are the fish that "clean" your tank. Any fish is going to excrete waste into your tank, gold fish are some of the worst offenders of this. But Plecos try to make things better, by cleaning the algae and scum from the tank. just wish I could get mine to quit migrating to my heater in my tank.

I find Plecos are "poop machines"...I think it's because of their high fibre diet! They are lovely fish, though...
