Default Gouramis Bloat?

So i have 4 gouramis, 1 male and i just noticed that it seems puffed out behind the gills, its fairly simetrical on both sides and i i'm just wondering if it could be one of the following:
-the actuall disease
-trying to puff itself up to make it self look more dominant (i have an over stocked tank with a lot cichlids so perhaps it wants to look bigger)
-when they breed they blow bubbles that stay at the surface, could it be preparing to blow bubbles.

those are the only things i can i think of, so any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated

i didn't read the entire thread, which was very helpful by the way, the pictures look to some extent what my fish looks like. when the fish ended up dieing did you do anything to the tank. they say it can be caused by bacterial infection, but not always. and what happened to your other fish, I'm really curious because i'm getting into breeding cichlids, and i have a few in that tank that are nice and i don't want to die. My advice is to really work on good water quality. Fish in good water have stronger immune systems and can fight off disease.

ok. and good water quality means right pH for fish type, no ammonia, no nitrites, low nitrates, obvisously none harmful objects in water, anything else...

Don't overfeed, Don't overstock and keep up with regular p.w.changes also try to avoid any constant major fluctuations in temperature.
