Default Sexing Pearl Gouramis

Does anyone know how old Pearl Gouramis have to be before you can tell whether they are male or female? Does age even make a difference?

Thanks

Default Re: Sexing Pearl Gouramis

There are many Internet articles on this fish.........I use the length and shape of the dorsal fin to determine the sex of many gourami types.....Males will have a longer and pointed dorsal fin in the back and the females are shorter and rounded.......When they start getting near 1 1/2 inches long this should be easy to see.
