Nice pic Sharon.

I think my mom had one of these when she was growing up.

Nice female. Now all you need is a male gold, green, or opaline and will get some pretty fry. Be sure to keep an eye on it as they can be agressive.

Thanks. She is very pretty. She's in a tank on her own right now, and there's not room for a male. I'm debating whether to put her in my 55gal. later. I've read they can be aggressive, and the mix in that tank is risky...

I know they will be okay with the rainbows. i had mine together and they were all good. but the three spot kind of dominated the tank i had to get rid of mine because they needed a bigger tank. Now they live in a 55 gallon.

I just googled them and it said they get to be 6 inches, I had no idea, we used to keep ours in a 10 gallon.

i have 4 of them, and would love to find a male for them..i have one that tries to dominate all the other, expect my dwarf. my lavender jousts with her when she gets bossy..the other two kinda hide from her, and she keeps all the gouramis rounded up to one side of the tank.. when i notice her getting to big for her fins, i rearrange the tank. that works well for a while.i notice she is more bossy with the 2 large ones of her kind.. i have a smaller one and she doesnt mess with it as much.

she or the others doesnt bother any other fish in my tank, just those of her kind.

i have them in with danios, serpae tetras, neon tetras, corys, skunks, redtail and rainbow sharks ,pleco.

hope this helps some.

Gourami are territorial and need lots of room to be tolerant of each other.
