Default Can I use old gravel???

Hello

My 50 dose not have enough gravel. I have some old black gravel that has been sitting in the garrage for 3-4 moths. I let it sit in a rice vinagar( did not have any other)water mix last night and i was wondering if i should let it dry in the sun.

vinegar was a good choice, IMO. was it dried out in the garage or sitting wet? I would let it all dry out & sit in the sun for a couple days and then rinse it to get any dust or dirt off of it.

I'm getting ready to add some used gravel to my tank also. I'm just going to boil the crap out of it before I put it in my tank.

If it is colored gravel, boiling may cause the colors to leach out. Rinsing with hot water will probally do just as good a job of cleaning it.
