Default baby danios??

yeah i finally have babies...i either have baby danios or baby neons, only two that were in the tank.

i have another stupid question..

i was setting up taylors tank( we have been fishing all afternoon ,. and caught a few lil perch he wanted for his tank.. ( all danios and neons have slowely been moved to my 55 gallon thoughout the week)well as i put his new filer one, added ne w plants and hiding spots for the new fish,i noticed lil things swimming , upon closer inspection, it was babies!! 4 of them..im hollering it across the house, taylor is giggling, valeries pouting, since she is no longer the only one with babies. as im watching im noticeing lil sqiggly things, look like skitter larvea.
ok thats my question, do the baby go through stages after hatching, and this is more babies? i seen about 3 of them, and i dont have skitters in the house, and i ahve had a pump on this tank, so it wasnt stand still water???

any ideas?

when you say skitters, do you mean mosquitos?

I have no idea about them. I would suggest doing a google search for mosquito life cycle or reproductive cycle etc.

I wouldn't want them in the house either. eeek!

yeah those down here in south louisiana, mosquitos are plentyful.i ahve seen the babies befour, and it looks like that, but these are assorted sizes, and to show up in a fish tank it really wierd to me..specially one being filtered. i have always been told its stand still water..

if i only have 4-5 babies, how can i get them out that tank and into another one..turkey baster?can i put a smaller sized filter and filter the tank?

Yes to the turkey baster and little filter. How big are the"skitters" and do they rise to the surface tail first? They could possibly be fry with the yoke sacks still attached (wigglers).

woke up this morning and there are now 9 babies.i cant tell the top from the bottom on the sqiggly things.
i was thinking about putting some pantyhose over the strainer for the filter to keep babies from getting sucked up...what do i feed them..i tried crushed flake food, but they werent intrested..maybe i didnt crush them enough. they are hoovering under the light. oh 1 more thing.. how long will the eggs be hatching?few days?

Try frozen baby brine shrimp and the LFSs carry many fry food products.

i hear ya'll talking about yolk sacks.. do these babies have those?if so how long do they eat off of it?
this is my first batch ever of egg babies..we have always have the guppies and swordtails, so this is all new to me..
guess this is gonna come in handy if the kribs ever decide to have babies.
