From the photos they appear a little thin, but not unhealthy........Of all the stuff I feed, the Microcrabs seem to be of more interest to the Loaches, but they also ravage most everything I put in there.....I think that because it gets to the bottom they can feast on it leisurely instead of trying to grab stuff floating down.

I don't advise everyone to do this, but I feed a lot of different things several times a day......I learned what they will consume without leaving much to rot on the bottom.

Just saw the clip...........my six mill around a good bit also and they will occasionally take breaks behind things and on the bottom.......I did notice that your tank is pretty open with few places large enough that they can duck into or behind.

Wow yea i understand what ur saying but im still new to have live plants etc. I will play around with my tank trying to make more hiding spots but im also working with a low budget here. I got micro crab, shrimp pellets, and freeze dried blood worms from a friend who doesnt have a tank anymore so im all set for the variety of foods when they calm down haha.

hi Rick I have been reading your thread and I don't know much about loachs but I use a sinking disk for cat fish and corydoras the loach should like them aswell the loach and cats and corys all graze from the bottom....You should soak the freeze dried bloodworms first for about 10min befor feeding them too the fish...hope this helps Rob

You don't have to use live plants......Plastic or silk with big leaves close to the bottom and top will work.......If you can find some gnarly driftwood or bogwood, that would be good also......I think you said you had some rocks.
