Hrm, I've never seen a spray bar before... are they only used with sump filters? What do they do?

some filters carry them
i thinks ome ehiem filters do

instead of having all the flow blasting out of the outlet
you kind of spread the flow across the tank
i would think it would be much less turbulance in the tank
i use it for planted tanks to not have as many dead spots
or in a discus tank since discus are sooooo prissy
and prefer calmer water
plus i love diy on my tanks

hi all
just wanted to share an update of the tank and its new residents
the new fish are
4 discus
1 albino bushy nose pleco
2 rummys(15 more in the mail)
3 celebes rainbow fish
15 amano shrimp
i did a little move of some plants
and put all the trimmings in my other tanks
next year i will try a small tank out side in the sun to see if i can do a sun lit tank
just for the heck of it

I use a plain old pair of scissors.....................Many of the trimmed pieces can be replanted and should grow to give you something else to trim later on.
