No... I wish Just was lookin for some betta pics and found this. Mine is a redtail with a whitish (sp?) body. Bettas are such nice fish Would I be able to have An Otto and some other fish or just 2-3 Ottos with my fish. Don't want to overstock..... My tank won't be ready for a while (still cycling); its just I like to research the fish before I get them. My Nitrite spike is going down... still have a .25 ammonia and sometimes .0 reading. My nitrate was at 10 today. ................I like fish

I don't know what the obsession is with Otos , they arent exactly the most active fish and they tend to hide alot as well as being sensitive to water quality and such that makes them rather difficult to keep, even for a seasoned aquariast. I wouldnt recommend you get them at all reother, to be honest. This is a setup that isnt even cycled yet and there should really be a good amount of algae in the tank before introducing an Oto.

Im still open to any suggestions for fish. I just think that Otos are a small algae eater compared to other ones. As I said In my last comment I will not be getting any fish soon until my tank is fully cycled. Still open to people's suggestions for stocking the rest of my tank. thankss

This is really ironic. Other than the name pwat i use the name BetWinston for some reason, completely fictious. When i saw your signature and your betta's name i was kinda suprised. =)

I don't know any fish for you right this second because my brain is turned off for fish topics but if i think of something other than a livebearer i'll answer your question .

Did you look at the compatability charts here on the site? click on the compatability tab...

I would suggest a pair of smaller cory cats or a pair of ottos (the small ones- be careful which ones you get). you could add a couple more danios to see them school together

What fish would be compatible with my Betta?

Thanks for the comments

I wouldn't add a Molly...They are too nippy for Bettas. There's nothing wrong with Otos, and you'll probably need algae control, later. I'd wait and try a couple, once the tank has been stable for awhile. You really don't have much room for anything else.........
